We are currently seeking an experienced Fertilizer Technician to join our growing team for the upcoming season. This is a turnkey role for a knowledgeable professional who understands turf care, chemical application, and equipment calibration.
Position Overview
As a Fertilizer Technician, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and herbicide treatments to commercial properties and residential turf areas across the south metro. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of turfgrass health and treatment practices.
You will operate spray trucks, ride-on spreaders, and push spreaders while ensuring all applications meet state regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

As a Fertilizer Technician, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and herbicide treatments to commercial properties and residential turf areas across the south metro. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of turfgrass health and treatment practices.
You will operate spray trucks, ride-on spreaders, and push spreaders while ensuring all applications meet state regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and turf treatments to commercial and residential properties
- Mix and calibrate application equipment including sprayers and fertilizer spreaders (push and ride-on)
- Identify turf health issues and make appropriate treatment applications
- Operate a spray truck to travel between service locations throughout the south metro
- Maintain detailed records of materials used, application times, and site visits
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and washing
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental compliance guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service and timely completion of routes
- Minnesota Pesticide Applicator License
- Category A (Core)
- Category E (Turf & Ornamentals)
- Prior experience in fertilizer or pesticide application is required
- Strong knowledge of mixing chemicals, calibration, and turf treatment programs
- Experience operating sprayers and fertilizer spreaders
- Ability to identify turfgrass issues and apply appropriate treatments
- Clean driving record to operate company spray trucks
- Strong attention to detail and organization
